Statesmen Executive Protection is proud to announce an Advanced Drug Interdiction Training Class at the Kovalchick Center on the IUP Campus.
The Training will be held on November 12, 2026 beginning at 10a. All instructors are current law enforcement officers, who are assigned to Interdiction Units.
This training will have minimum classroom. The majority of the training will be hands on with interdiction stops with law enforcement officers as role players.
The training will focus on interacting with vehicle occupants to obtain probable cause (PC), identifying plain view PC, obtaining consent to search the vehicle, and exterior and interior search patterns, etc.
Each participant will receive a drug interdiction kit, that will contain special tools to access vehicles parts, (seating, fuse boxes, dash boards, etc). The participants can keep the interdiction kit.
We are also working on getting a transit bus to have the participants conduct surveillance and identify role player(s) who may be involved with drug trafficking.
The cost of the training is $250 per participant. (Lunch is included with the fee). If registering by check, please make checks payable to KCAC. The registration form and check should be mailed to KCAC at 711 Pratt Dr, Indiana, PA 15705. If registering with credit card, please call Mary Ann at 724-357-5206.
